I’m an acknowledge and self-confessed foodie, you know that person who somehow always turns a conversation into an opportunity to talk about what’s to eat, who gets called when friends have guests coming to town and need a restaurant recommendation, who fields more how-long-do-I-cook-this-turkey calls than a poultry farm, knows where to find the best dumplings in Chinatown and does it all with relish!
The Foodie-file is where I share it all with my readers:

Just wondering if you’ve ever been to Saskatchewan in the summer. During their summer exhibitions they serve up a thing called a spudnut. Now everyone (except me, I swear) brags these things up and says they are so great. They are disgusting. They are a glorified deep fried doughnut made with some potato flour. They come in a variety of flavours–just cinnamon- sugar coating or chocolate or vanilla glaze really. I won’t waste my money on them. Around fair time, the Big Brothers and Big Sisters even do office delivery.
I grew up with a great cook, my Ukrainian immigrant mother and food was always important.. Anyways, happy travelling.
