Foodie-finds Friday: Hefeweizen From Victoria BC
My foodie find for this Friday is Spinnakers wheat beer Hefenweizen. I know that I have mentioned in this very blog that I am not a fan of the wheat beers but I have to take it back after sampling this tasty summer beverage. Spinnakers is a brewpub in Victoria and the only place where you are able to purchase this delicious find. It was recommended to me and I chose the IPA instead but little did I know that I was turning down this beautiful sunshine-y beverage. It is unpasturized so it is effervescent on your tongue from the yeast and is a little bit citrusy.
If you are in Victoria – get over to Spinnakers and have a pint for me – if you are not – make sure you make it over and try it out when next you visit, it’s worth seeking out on a hot summer day.
By the way the pale ale was great too!
