Whiskey Live Ticket Winner!

Thanks to all who submitted cocktail recipes. I tried a lot of them and it was hard to decide who was the winner, but then I had a submission that made me almost split my pants laughing. Obviously, I had to go with that submission, even though I wasn’t actually able to run through the whole recipe. So without further ado, the winner of two VIP tickets to Friday’s Whisky Live Show is Praim Sankar. Congratulations Praim! The visual image of a tipsy, toothless Praim enjoying his curry and scotch is what gave him the edge! And we got a curry recipe to boot!

Here is Praim’s “cocktail” recipe:

1 750 ml bottle Grants Scotch
5 lbs ram goat meat, (wash with vinegar)
2 scotch bonnets, minced
1 bunch green onions, finely chopped
4 heads of garlic, minced
6 large onions, finely chopped
salt to taste
6 tbs curry powder
4 tbs canola oil for marinade
3 oz canola oil for cooking

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl, reserving 1\2 of the whiskey or about 12 oz.

Let marinade for 4 hours or overnight.

Drink 2 oz of the scotch.

Heat another 3 oz of oil in a pot and add goat meat with seasoning

Turn frequently to brown.

Add curry powder and continue turning.

Drink 2 oz of scotch.

Add boiling water to cover

Drink 2 oz of scotch

Cook until meat is soft to your liking (I have no teeth so it must be real soft).

Drink 2 more oz of scotch

Out of scotch? Silly, get more!!

Tomorrow I’ll be highlighting some of the other, more traditional cocktail entries that deserve recognition. Enjoy the show Praim, maybe I’ll see you there!
