Gourmet Food and Wine Show

Today is the first day of the Gourmet Food and Wine Expo, an event that runs all weekend at the the Metro Convention Centre in Toronto. Admission is $15.00 and there are tastings, seminars, and stages running demos throughout the four days. This year’s theme country is France, so there should be some good eats involved.

I’m attending the VIP event this evening so I’ll check in with you next week to let you know if I find anything interesting. In the mean time, here are some links from last years show to give you a taste of the event.

A weekend of food and wine.
Seelbach Cocktail
As predicted, I over did it.

As I sit here in London waiting for the weatherman’s promised deluge of snow, I will envy your visit to French inspiration. Please have an extra little taste of something on my behalf.

Is the Gourmet Food and Wine Expo the same weekend each year? I’d love to plan a trip to visit family in Ontario to coincide with the expo! Maybe in 2009!

Jean, it’s always in November but I’m not sure what weekend it’s on next year.

I thought last year with Chile as the sponsor was a bit better than this year, although I only attended the one day this year and didn’t sign up for any seminars so maybe I’m not being objective.

It would be a fun weekend to come!
