Over low heat stir with a small wire whisk until ingredients are smooth and combined.

If fondue becomes cool and thick microwave for 10 seconds and stir, repeat if necessary.

Break up the chocolate and put in a plastic bowl with the water.
Give the mixture of ingredients 10-20 second bursts in the microwave, whisking in between.
Do this until blended and warm.

  • Hey Christine, I love this Canadian Living scene you are providing; I bet you love it too. There is no better way to have a casual evening than fondue and chocolate has so many options. I must admit I don’t know much about “Green & Black” but would love to be taught something new. Are they saying this chocolate is organic? I imagine cocoa bens always have been.
Thanks and keep up the good work. I would love to have a job like yours.

  • Jeannine says:

First and foremost: congratulations Lorne on the Steak dinner. Trust me Lorne, Green & Black chocolate is quite rich and decadent. (English chocolate usually is)

Now Christine you have a chance to make it up to the runners-up! What better way to console them…with chocolate! Mmmmmmmm.

My son-in-laws birthday on tuesday. My daughter is so lucky to have such a marvelous husband!!
They have been married over 20 years now. Good years I might add!!
I am making him one of my famous chocolate cakes…(grin) much the same as the one at valentines…but choco chips instead of the cubes.
Oh so simple…devils chcolate food cake mix…add a good handful of semi sweet chocolate chips…two table spoons of Coco. Follow the package directions for the rest of it.
Then for the chocolate icing — add more coco again and melt choco chips in the M/W and mix in with the icing. IF you want more chcoclate in this…aftr icing the cake you can either drizzle some melted chips over it or just drop a few chips whole on the top.
    oh yes this is chocolate!!
I am sure it is not as good quality as the Blacks and Green organic…but definetely a chcocolate fix.

  • Debbie W. says:

I tried the recipe. I really recommend adding the Grand Marnier. It gave it a nice little “kick”.
