1/8 cup plus 1 tablespoon water
1 tbsp orange marmalade
Directions:
Conventional method
Break up the chocolate and put in a saucepan with the water.
Over low heat stir with a small wire whisk until ingredients are smooth and combined.
Add orange marmalade and stir.
If the resulting sauce is too thick, add a few drops of water and whisk to blend.
Serve in a small bowl with desired fruit and nuts.
If fondue becomes cool and thick microwave for 10 seconds and stir, repeat if necessary.
Microwave
Break up the chocolate and put in a plastic bowl with the water.
Give the mixture of ingredients 10-20 second bursts in the microwave, whisking in between.
Do this until blended and warm.
Tips for extra flavour:
• Add a splash of Grand Marnier, triple sec or Cointreau.
Suggested dipables: Pretzels, salty popcorn, apple slices, pear slices, shortbread and marshmallows.

Valentine’s Day 2009

Well pick me for the chocolate!! Yum yum. That’s the fifth food group isn’t it? Or are you a purist and only believe in the four main groups? in which case I say that chocolate is a vegetable. You know, it comes from cocoa BEANS!!
Have a great day! and we’re really looking forward to spring here on the prairies.
Sincerely,

NOTE:
there is a fairly new commercial for Hershey’s. The one that the whole screen is chocolate and there are a couple of people all made of chocolate. I firmly believe there are sublimal <-sp? messages in it!
I had to turn away from it…and mute the remote button when ever it came on. I was going a little “crazy ” for chocolate…I do love the stuff….but not so that I had to go and get some and then eat it till I felt ill??If any one else had this let me know…

Chocolate fondue? It would be a treat to set a chocolate fondue table for my grown children and their sweethearts!
U have tried a few varieties of these chocolate bars over the past little while but am intrigued by the different flavours and percentage of cocoa.
Another big rush…..can’t wait!

Melt in your mouth,
Nibble like a mouse.

Always a treat!
I love biting into dipped orange slices and feeling the burst of juices and chocolate in my mouth!
chocolate fondue is a favorite New Year’s Eve dessert in our house and this is marvellous.
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM CHOCOLATE!!
MY FAVORITE WEAKNESS!!
My husband and I met on March 17th, 1968, wouldn’t chocolate be the grooviest way to celebrate?
Wow…I was just reading the Feb. issue of Canadian Living…The article entitled, Spreads with Appeal. I was debating over trying one of the marmalade recipes as they look so appealing and easy. I guess this just answers my question. I can make your marmalade fondue recipe and it will be even more rewarding knowing that the marmalade is homemade.
Thanks for this!
Marg
