Chocolate Winner! And, I’m almost out of chocolate.

Last weeks chocolate winner, Linda Flora, kindly sent me this email:

“Just received your chocolate fondue package. I was expecting a few chocolate bars and was most surprised to find much more than that. Thank you so much. My daughters and their husbands (as well as my own husband) will be the lucky beneficiaries of the chocolate confections you have so graciously supplied.”

I have one more chocolate package to give away to a Foodie-file subscriber, so make sure you are subscribed!

This weeks chocolate winner is Betty Slack from Elora, Ontario.

Congratulations, Betty!

This has been fun – talking about chocolate and reading other folks stories of chocolate – It is apparent that chocolate has a place in the lives of many folks. It finds its way into our lives as a guilty pleasure or a comfort food, sometimes an energizer, sometimes a pacifier. Whatever way we use it it has been part of civilization as far back as 2000 years. It (the cocoa bean) was then used as currency, it was seen as a fertility enhancer and an aphrodisiac. Chocolate has been very much of the human story for many, many, years. Thank you for sparking the interest.
