Asparagus Brunch Bread Recipe and Curtis Stone Cookbook Winner
This weeks “relaxed” entertaining recipe is for Asparagus Brunch Bread in honour of the first local asparagus (hopefully asparagus has arrived in your region).
This is really somewhere between a quick bread and a pancake. It’s great as a main course with a salad or a few roasted potatoes, or slice it up and serve on the side with your favourite eggs - scrambled or poached would be great. You can serve this bread warm or at room temperature so it makes for very relaxed cooking.
Today, my third copy of Relaxed Cooking with Curtis Stone cookbook goes out to Jen Aragon of North Vancouver, B.C. Enjoy the cookbook Jen!
Keep subscribing! I have two more Curtis Stone cookbooks and lots of other celebrity cookbooks to give away once a week!

Hey! I used that recipe (from one of the Canadian Living magazines) many years ago! It is an awesome recipe…easy to make and very yummy.
Don’t hesitate to try it.
I can’t wait to try this recipe. I just hope mine looks as good as the one in the picture. We’re celebrating my mom’s 82nd birthday and this is perfect. I had bought some Ontario Asparagus (they were awesome)from Highland Farms, Mississauga yesterday, and had them for dinner this evening. Oh well, now I have a great reason to get some more.
I have been making this for years except I use Swiss cheeses. It is yummy.
Look wonderful. I’m going to try it this season for sure.
We have an asparagus farm right near us so we are eating it daily for it’s season. I will try this recipe for sure.
We have planted our own asparagus patch but it is only in its second year and it will be next year till we enjoy our own crop. Can’t wait.
Usually I roll it in a bit of Olvie oil, salt and pepper and then grill it. When it is tender I brush with Basalmic vinegar and grate Parmesan cheese over it. Yummy
